Newton Aduaka's drama follows a boy abducted at age seven to be trained as a child soldier, who returns seven years later to testify before a Truth and Reconciliation Commission, and won the Grand Prize, the Etalon de Yennenga, at FESPACO 2007.
Fun fact: Aduaka was born in eastern Nigeria during the Biafran War and left for the UK to study engineering before discovering filmmaking at the London International Film School.
