Akosua Adoma Owusu's semi-autobiographical short braids the West African trickster tale of the spider-man Kwaku Ananse into the story of a young woman attending her estranged father's funeral, and was nominated for the Golden Bear for Best Short Film at the Berlinale in 2013 (it did not win).
Fun fact: It went on to win the 2013 Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Short Film representing Ghana.
