Nikyatu Jusu's feature debut follows Aisha, a recently immigrated Senegalese nanny working for a wealthy New York family who begins having haunting visions, and won the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance 2022, only the second time a Black woman had won it.
Fun fact: It was also the first horror film to win the Sundance Grand Jury Prize, and was acquired jointly by Blumhouse and Prime Video following its win.
