Belgian-Congolese rapper and director Baloji's feature debut follows four Congolese people branded as witches or sorcerers by their communities, drawing on his own return to Congo after 25 years away, and won the New Voice Prize in Un Certain Regard at Cannes 2023.
Fun fact: Baloji represented Belgium in the 2024 Academy Award submissions for the film, despite it being set and shot largely in the Congo of his birth.
